Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
